Do you charge a call out fee?
No we only charge once we start the job and you are 100% satisfied with the work carried out.
Do you deal in UPVC door problems?
Yes we do we specialise in all upvc door lock and multi-point issues.
Do you cut keys?
Yes we do but we only cut keys for the locks we supply as we are mobile locksmiths and not a shop we only carry a limited amount of blanks.
Do you offer a emergency call out service if I am locked out?
Yes we do we offer a emergency response service 7 days a week.
Do you damage locks if we are locked out?
No if you have left keys inside and the lock is fitted correctly we offer a non-destructive entry.
If we have just moved property do we need to change locks?
I strongly advise to change all external door locks as you may not know who still holds a key.
Can all locks have the same key?
Normally yes but they all need to be cylinder locks (pinned) or lever locks (Mortice locks)
Do you open late?
Yes we open till 11pm Monday/Saturday and 9pm On Sunday
Do you give discounts to oap's?
Off course we also give discounts to NHS / disabilities/ and to all Charities
Do you suggest we upgrade our locks?
It really depends if you need to or not, most insurance companies require you to have all external locks British Standard after 2007 i would call them to see what they require.
Do you fit alarms or CCTV?
Sorry no we don’t but we know someone that does who are very good please contact Holt Alarms on 02392 730951
Can we check your company out before we use you?
Yes please do you can see all our customer feed back on Checkatrade.com and Trading Standards also on our google map site, we strongly advise to check any trade out before you use them.
How quick is your normal response time?
It really depends on traffic and where we are at the time but our normal response time is 30 minutes for emergencies and within 1 hour for all non-emergency works.
Are the prices higher at the weekends?
No we do not put our prices up at weekends or Bank Holidays
If Im renting out rooms is there a particular lock I should be installing?
Yes locks for rental properties need to be fire escape locks that includes the main front and back doors with a thumbturn or handle on the inside for quick access in case of a fire or emergency.
Can extra security be added to up and over garage doors?
Yes we understand must of these doors are easy to break into so we offer extra locks and or a garage door defender bolted to the outside.
